In general, CSA follows the Troy City Schools cancellation policy, although there may be exceptions. Updates will be sent through your Parent Portal and posted on Facebook.

CSA Vacation Schedule:

CSA operates on the same vacation schedule as Troy City Schools.

Length of Dance Season:

Classes traditionally begin the week after Labor Day.

Petite classes – Mini Movement, Creative Movement and Kinder Combo – finish up the year with a recital in April.

Youth, Junior, Senior and Adult classes end with a May performance.

  • CSA tuition is a yearly fee.
  • Three payment options are available and explained below.
  • The yearly fee accounts for closings due to holidays, weather, etc.
  • Dancers that miss a class due to illness are welcome to attend a “make-up” class if a similar class is available, but we do not reduce or discount tuition for missed classes.
  • Discounts are offered for each dancer that takes multiple classes.
  • Each dancer pays full price for first class and receives 10% off each subsequent class.
  • See tuition policy for complete details.

CSA offers several payment options including:

  • Payment in full – receive 5% off when paying annual tuition in full no later than September 24
  • Two lump sum payments due September 24 and January 21
  • Eight monthly payments due the first week of the month

A $10 non-negotiable fee will be added to accounts not paid by the 10th of the month.

Withdrawal Policy:

Enrolling in Center Stage Academy requires a signed statement that you agree to pay full tuition. To withdraw from class, the CSA Withdrawal Notice form must be completed and submitted.  Until this form is received and acknowledged by the instructor, you are obligated to continue paying tuition.  In addition, all past-due tuition and fees are due immediately.  You are also responsible for full payment of costumes that are already on order.

What Costs Will I Have:

  • New dancers to Center Stage are required to pay a non-refundable application fee.
  • $25 per dancer; $55 for three or more dancers in same family.
  • The application fee is waived for returning dancers that submit their application at the end of the dance year.

  • Class prices are based on class length

  • Dancers are required to have proper shoes and dancewear for each class.
    See requirements by class here.

  • Costume and tights
  • Performance tickets and performance tickets
  • Optional items are offered, such as pictures, performance t-shirts, etc. These are not mandatory.

Year-End Performances:

Our petite dancers participate in a small, intimate and family-friendly recital.  This show is ideal for our Mini Movement, Creative Movement and Kinder Combo students.  Dress rehearsal is typically held on a Saturday morning, with an approximate one-hour show on Sunday afternoon.  Details are distributed in a performance packet in February.

In May, CSA presents its annual spring production for the rest of the students.  This larger-scale, highly entertaining show includes a mandatory dress rehearsal on a Friday evening, followed by two mandatory performances on Saturday (12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m.).  A comprehensive performance packet is distributed in February that addresses every detail of this show.

No dancer is required to participate in the end-of-year performance.  However, a commitment in the form of a costume deposit is required in November. Cost of a costume(s) is not included in tuition.  Costume balance must be paid in full in April.  The only additional required expense is for performance tickets.  All guests (ages two and up) require a ticket to enter the auditorium.  Other expenses that are not mandatory, include pictures, footnotes, performance t-shirt, program advertising, etc.  All expenses are detailed in the performance packet.
